"The Skin Im In"

This book has surprised me many times. Its about a girl who's African American and she really doesn't fit into the school because she's a darker skin color than the other students. There's a new teacher and she kind of looks like a freak everybody says. The teacher goes through many problems such as kids calling her names and teasing her repeatedly. Both the girl and the teacher really don't fit into the school. This book has helped me because she tells me how it feels to be teased. I know now not to tease other people because it just make them feel awful and it going to make me feel better.
